It's a less than thinly veiled attempt at swinging voters. Plus I just don't want to see those kinds of images. I'm also sure that women who've had to have abortions under durress or really under any circumstance don't want to see those images either.
It's really stupid that people can vote against their own self-interest because of one or two social issues.Prabhu Singhhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02775732011324385661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11762382.post-81134586108018331692008-10-08T15:17:00.000-06:002008-10-08T15:17:00.000-06:00yes, these churches are definitely starting a figh...yes, these churches are definitely starting a fight with the IRS, and the fight isn't freedom of speech -- it is whether they can be tax-exempt *and* endorse specific candidates at the same time.

the law is clear; they cannot. it's no secret they are doing this. they are begging to be taxed, and then they plan to complain when they lose their tax-exempt status.kathy a.https://www.blogger.com/profile/14479337952651746193noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11762382.post-25529614267000810892008-10-07T15:33:00.000-06:002008-10-07T15:33:00.000-06:00because a newspaper is a for profit enterprise und...because a newspaper is a for profit enterprise under the tax laws.Jim Bacahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14019944863771287149noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11762382.post-23160393626046907542008-10-07T14:07:00.000-06:002008-10-07T14:07:00.000-06:00How is the leader of a church endorsing a candidat...How is the leader of a church endorsing a candidate any different than a newspaper endorsing a candidate? I would argue they are not different.Terrill Richardsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16234984836359579484noreply@blogger.com
