ReplyDeletePeggy and I were in Ireland and Scotland (Edinburgh) in June. I picked up a book, Findings, by Kathleen Jamie, an excellent Scottish writer previously unknown to me. The first essay, "Darkness and Light," is about a trip to Skara Brae, not at all what I expected. A book worth having.
