Once when I visited WA and BC, I took NM red chile sauce in a squeeze bottle for my meals on the road. When I went through Customs in Victoria I was asked if I had any 'pepper spray' - I was stumped, but said 'no'. Later I remembered I had some New Mexico Red in a spray bottle. LOL
