We had a leak in the water main in front our our home. The crews got on it within hours and are incredibly efficient and friendly. I wonder if they would like to go run the Police Department and Mayor's Office.

How did it come about? Why has it continued until now? What are its roots? These are the kinds of questions that should be asked if it's to be understood, or changed, I think.
Incidentally, a certain blogger is mentioned in the list and apparently was asking these kinds of questions in 1987.
