Thinking about that vote in Ireland. The Pope is like our President. A modern thinker open to changing the way we do things and achieving justice on many fronts. The Cardinals and Bishops are like our Congress. Full of dogma ridden idiots who can't see that train heading straight for them. The Clergy hierarchy and the Christian fundamentalist Congress will soon find themselves the most reviled groups in modern times.

Not sure that the Bishops and Cardinals and Christian fundamentalists will be reviled quite as much as the Islamic fundamentalists or guys like Hitler. You may be a bit over the top on that comment. I really hope the Cardinals can win the World Series this year.
