Brainless in Santa Fe

The financial giant Pay Pal just announced that they would not locate a new large facility in North Carolina because that state has passed legislation making it legal to discriminate against Gay folks.

So a disaster for those fundamentalist pigs in NC, but an opportunity in NM maybe?  Of course you would need someone with brains and moxie in the governor's office to get on the phone and say, "Hey, we pride out selves on being multi cultural in this Land of Enchantment.  We would welcome your facility in to our state because we don't discriminate against Gays.  What can we do to make this happen?"

But, don't hold you breath that anyone has that sharp a mind in Santa Fe, including high ranking legislators.  They are all asleep, while other smart leaders in other states jump into action.

The political calculations that affect Jay MCklesky's future don't warrant offending a big part of the Republican coalition. High ranking Democratic legislatures don't want to stand in the way of that.

Somewhat related, I see where those big wind turbine blades are coming through the Santa Teresa port now because it was designed to accommodate oversized truck loads. A trucking company that does big loads has even bought land down there and opened a terminal. Forward thinking on someone's part paid off.

A Mexican company that makes turbine blades is even building a new plant on the other side, close to the port. There must be a demand for those turbines, somewhere, probably where the oil and gas lobby doesn't run things. The only wind turbines I see around here are on Laguna Indian land.

I hope the Donald does not read bubbas remarks or he will send Sancho Panza to fight the northern migration of those pesky turbines. Just saying Jim .
