I am sorry, but I think those lights on the
Sandia Mountains are kind of
cheesy. When I first learned they would be up there for a few days I thought it might look interesting. But they just look
cheesy. It is good they won't be there for long. It is one of those things that just didn't work out. We should all shrug and turn them off asap.

The only thing cheesy about the lights is the amount of media attention the whole thing is getting.
Cheesy is such a Cheesy word. People just tried to do something special and the gd media just blows it all out of porportion and makes it a contreversy.
I saw them last night too. They are gross. I don't need the media to tell me that. Leave out pretty mountain alone.
I didn't know anything about the media but happened to see the lights on the way home from 'Iraq For Sale' and thought they looked ... well, pathetic. My thoughts ran something like this, "I haven't seen those before. That doesn't look right."
I thought the full moon did a much better job of silhouetting the mountain than those goofy lights. I can imagine that some out-of-town visitors thought they were homes or businesses instead of temporary "high lights". What's next, phony seeds on our "watermelon"?
