Moon Perigee

Bobbi and I went up to Pat Hurley Park last night to watch the moon rise.   The Earth's Companion is in perigee and wont be this close again until I am dead most likely.  Like 29 years.  I tried some High Dynamic Range Photography, but because of the long exposure times it just didn't work to well.  This one photo is the combination of three separately exposed frames.

I heard about that High Dynamic Range Photography. I don't know if the technology is really there yet. I have tried taking pictures like that, with a moon rising or setting over a city and the camera just didn't know what to do with the two different kinds of light, natural and artificial Then again, I suppose the digital cameras I've had were all of the Low Dynamic Range variety. Still, that looks pretty good. There's a lot about it that's good, in my opinion. But you did set before yourself a formidable task there.
