Salamanca

This is the view from our hotel room. A nice long journey today from Santiago. Very rainy and cool.

Glad you are enjoying your trip!

That's how the weather was when I was there in October a dozen years ago. Because it's so warm, we forget how far north they are, so the day length is surprisingly short that time of year. They need the Gulf Stream to keep working!

Amazing. The building is a thousand years old. I wish we built things to last. That's an amazing city, says Wikipedia where knowledge is democratized for the public good.

Also amazing, there's a picture very similar to that one in the Wikipedia article on Salamanca that looks like it might have been taken from the same motel but a few rooms down, in the Old City, it says. Nice digs if you can get them. What a trip. In the photo below you look like two wizened travelers, content in your wisdom and pausing momentarily during your latest journey to stare steadily at your photographer. Either that or you just had another big gourmet meal.
