Danger of Dogma

The editor at the Journal is trying to find ways to make the impending resumption of diplomatic relations with Cuba look bad for Obama.  The Journal insists that the killer of a NM State Policeman back in the early 70's, who then hijacked a TWA airliner to Cuba with two others, be sent back for trial as part of the deal.  It has been made clear that won't happen.  The Journal's position reminded me of the quote from author David Brin.

While they're at it the Journal can demand the US extradite Luis Posada Carriles to Cuba. Among the many terrorist bombings in Cuba this Bay of Pigs organizer and former CIA agent has been convicted of is a Cuban airliner flight that killed all 73 people on board, which he has reportedly bragged about. He's been convicted of these crimes in absentia but the US has refused extradition and he walks free in Miami today.
