Movido

Yeah, she finally resorted to the idea of killing people.  The Governor wants the death penalty back and will fight for it in the legislature.  She is appealing to those base supporters of hers who just might be wandering away into the wilderness of failed right wing policies.  Maybe this gets them back on the ranch.  Who knows?  But she is bucking the trend of the world, except her enemies in the middle east.  Most everyone else on the planet have long ago realized that the death penalty is silly.  Especially when incompetents like her self are in office and often execute innocent people because of power hungry prosecutors.  Oh, she was one of those!

Somehow, even this won't cover up her failures as an economic and government leader.

She is trying to bring back the death penalty. The Donald revived Nixon's old law and order (fear) classic at the convention...a remake of "Dirty Harry" has to be right around the corner.

The death penalty in not silly. Only hope you and the folks that comment on this site aren't victims of a horrendous crime that leaves their families to try and cope with the offender living instead of getting what is deserved.

Anonymous, even if you convict the person who committed the horrendous crime, killing them won't get your loved one back. Survivors need counseling, not state-sponsored revenge.

Jim is right. the Governatrix is desperate. Her party is coming apart at the seams.

Ok, then said...

She's got nothing else.

Ya but Mr Schiff it's a start. Anyone that kills deserves to be killed.

Anonymous do tell us what happens if an innocent person is put to death, which by the way happens. Also, I love the rights pro-life yet pro death penalty position. We should have a bumper sticker that reads "You can't be both pro-life and pro-death penalty" as the pro-lifers drive around with their "you can't be both pro-life and pro-choice". Which is it? BTW the death penalty cases cost taxpayers at least $1.1 million and that's just to get through the trial. By the time the convicted exhaust their appeals' it's much more. Once again the pro-life fiscal conservatives show that they are hypocrites.

BTW, Martinez should stop trying to be the district attorney and start worrying about our states dismal economy, it' #1 ranking in child poverty and hunger and 494th. in education. Anyone who leaves their house would be blind not to notice that there are panhandlers on every corner throughout the city. These are not lazy people as the right like to claim...they are products of the failed Berry and Martinez administrations. Perhaps all these right wing governors should take a look at how Jerry Brown in California pulled that state from near bankruptcy to having a surplus. Hint, he raised taxes on corporations and the 1%, and guess what, none of those businesses closed and those millionaires are still millionaires! Difference is, they're not looking to cut funding to education, which is the most ridiculous thing a state with extreme poverty could do, or cut jobs or any of the things right wingers do to justify giving more to corporations and the wealthy. Our state is all but bankrupt, and Martinez's answer to it is distraction because she is not qualified to run this or any other state.

Killing is killing no matter how it happens (Death Penalty or Abortion.) Though shall not Kill!

As a mother of a murder victim I am insulted that this state is the only one with a lame 6 yr limit to file 2nd degree murder charges(most common) and that despite efforts in the last few legislative sessions, this was not fixed. This allowed 2 of my son's killers a free ride.
Fixing this loophole is a no-brainer and non-partisan. Killing the killer is immoral, but stopping them from more is Justice. Why does this state cater to criminals?

Where do people get the notion that NM caters to criminals? It is ridiculous. I don't know anyone on the right or left that caters to criminals. That is just the kind of knee jerk reactions brought on by the trump like days of America.

Nothing will ever change in this State until someone that is a big name is the victim of a crime or has a family member killed. The so called justice system has been broken for years and the only people that benefit from it is the attorneys and the criminals. That's why I carry a gun only justice is street justice.

That sounds like it is coming from a psychotic, anonymous. carrying around a gun in public in a paranoid stupor.

Not even close, but an upstanding gun carrying citizen that at least will have an answer to anyone that wants to try their luck. G'day mate.

Amen to that...... So now we can't even protect ourselves in this crazy crime ridden city?
