Sit Her Down

It is amazing really, the fact that no one can manage to sit Governor Susana Martinez down for an interview on the dismal state of the economy in New Mexico.  First off, is the media even trying to put her on the spot to answer for the out-migration of jobs and young people?  All of this while the states around us continue to prosper.  But, lets say some are trying to pin her down and she is refusing to be held accountable.  What does that say about the apparatus that surrounds her in an impenetrable wall of Spin?

Again, what is her economic development team up to?  And that goes for Mayor Berry of Albuquerque too.  How long can their lack of progress be hidden?  Don't forget that many of the job losses have come from cut backs in the Federal sector in New Mexico.  Just what our government hating Governor and her minions wanted.  How has that helped us?

What are they doing to find out what is going on with Intel in Rio Rancho.  The rumor mill is churning on the possible closure of that employer of 3500 New Mexicans.  Can they at least address these rumors?  I have heard some things that are pretty ominous and if they are true then some planning needs to be done on how to cope with such a loss.  If the Governor and Mayor are caught unawares by this, then it is time for them to go.

We truly have a lack of leadership in New Mexico at the state and local level.  Politics aside, one just needs to look at the data for job loss compared to the rest of the country to know it is true.

Berry and Martinez are truly the biggest failures in dealing with the hard hit NM economy. Nothing is getting done, no one is taking the lead, no ideas and efforts to speak of at all. They both need to go and get out of NM.

Here’s that answer to your question of leadership when they do come out of their bunkers.

You'll notice in the first minute that Berry goes from smiling to "oh shit, she's going to strip me of my clothes." He such a double talker in this interview. It's amazing to me that people actually believe anything he says anymore. It's obvious he intends to change nothing at APD and they will continue to lie, kill and keep the cameras off.

Can citizens really be this stupid in Albuquerque to think he should stay in office???????

RECALL BERRY AND VOTE OUT MARTINEZ TO MINIMIZE THE DAMAGE CONTROL!

PARTICIPATE IN THE MARCH ON JUNE 21ST. THERE WILL BE LIVE MUSIC AND OTHER ACTIVITIES PLANNED FOR A FULL DAY FROM 11-5.

I thought I would share with the community a comment that came from a CEO of a company that does business in all 50 states based on his interation with our government.

Its a complete joke of a state with no real economy to speak of. Let's just get the hell out of NM as soon as possible.

Everybody's abandoning this state due to the regressive politics of Berry and Martinez.

If Berry wanted the community to have a seat at the table for the DOJ investigation, why didn't he allow us to have a say with hiring the legal counsel? Greenwood and Streicher have no solid history, they have only reviewed one department, Hamilton County Ohio, where Striecher had connections. They were dismissed from the legal team that is handling New Orleans, why? Greenwood refuses to disclose if he and Streicher are on the payroll of Taser, why? Taser is a part of the DoJ investigation. If Berry would have done his job and vetting this contract in an open and transparent way that would have been disclosed and Greenwood and Streicher would not have been picked. The community demands that Greenwood and Streicher and their Taser allies be dismissed from Albuquerque and the city council open a transparent vetting process to hire the best counsel. Then again do we even need to hire anyone? We have 30 or more attorneys in City Legal, can't they do it? Fire Greenwood and STreicher!
