Yep, the Journal didn't even report that story that I talked about in Saturday evenings blog post. That means one of two things. They are protecting a Governor because she is republican. Or they can't even afford to have a writer around on a weekend. I hope it is the latter.

I have posted this before --- Abq Journal engages in censorship. Remember Germany in WW II? No one knew what was going on in the concentration camps other than those where inside. Why? Because everyone was afraid of telling the truth.
I hope Dinelli reads your blog. This FBI investigation could flip flop the poll numbers overnight. The Racino at the Downs is in Albuquerque. Berry appointed John Garcia (his economic director) to the three member commission who gave the contract to Susanna buddies. Berry's public safety director (Darren White)resigned amid scandal for helping his wife escape a car wreck (maybe dui) and landed a bigger job at the Downs of Albuquerque doing something he has no background in. The FBI is asking the right questions, this is big. Will Dinelli and Bregman jump in front of this and make it a campaign issue? If they don't they are nuts!!!!!! This election is heating up.
The closest I come to the Journal is reading the headlines while shopping at Smith's. I ended my subscription a couple of years ago; and yes, they selectively report, not fairly report.
Pete is nobody's fool. He is well aware of the misdeeds committed by Darren White. Sam Bregman has had his ear to the city hall walls for years.
As you say, now let's see what they do with it. CNN gave Susana Martinez national press coverage on her DC fundraiser but the national media has been very quiet about this whole matter. Too many folks in New Mexico and Albuquerque have lost faith in local media (rightfully so apparently) that they consider the source: if the national media covers it, then it must be true.
I think voters will know what to do once they vote. The more voters we have who exercise their right to vote, the better. That is Sam Bregman's job - or at least that is what he promised he would do.
Someone has come in and moved a McClatchey story about the IRS to the front page.
I never worked at a daily paper that did not have at least one reporter and one editor on duty on the weekends, in case something big happened. The reporter to get something on it and the editor to look it over and add it to the paper.
They can pretty much put the Monday paper together earlier and you'll notice it's always thin and mostly wire stories, and maybe a couple local stories of the type they can save for that, but someone is there adding late wire stories, like the McClatchey story. And if a big murder or something happened on Sunday they'd be quite embarrassed to miss it, or if Bill Richardson ran over a cat.
Bunch of scumbags running this city and state. No wonder it was a bombing range and a place where they store nuclear waste and tinker with atoms.
Mike Gallagher wrote a tiny article about this in tuesday's paper, under the fold. He made it more about Richardson and the Democrats than whether in investigation is true. He also raised concerns about whether the questions by the FBI are legitimate to an investigation or are just questions. He extensively quoted the Governor's public information officer. He didn't mention KRQE at all. He also didn't mention if AG King has asked questions. And he didn't mention Hector Balderas.
Which reminds me - Where is Sam Bregman?!
Bregman is in hiding. Gov Martinez called him out on her Facebook page (note: a bit high school, isn't it?). So far, Sam has refused comment. If the Chairman doesn't speak up (or do something), he will look weak and the Democratic Party will not have a strong voice (again). Didn't he promise to do more?
