May 20, 2012

I thought the world was supposed to end this month.  So far it hasn't or I wouldn't be writing this inane entry but what I really wanted to do was show my pictures of the full solar eclipse.  I used my Nikon d90, some window tinting material(five layers) and my 300mm lens.  It was all pretty neat from the foothills arroyos.

We took a pizza up to our friends Tim and Judy's house and had a good time.

I took pictures of them and Bobbi in eclipsed light.  Maybe that will turn them into vampires.

Speaking of Vampires and solar.....here is an interesting article on the solar economic issue of the day.

I was hoping you'd give that a try. That's very good.

I tried too, but the results won't be appearing on my web site.

That article on the fallout from the tariffs Obama levied on the Chinese for solar panels covers a lot of bases and is worth reading.

Looking at it from a greenhouse gas standpoint, he should have added our own subsidy to Chinese solar panels.

One thing I never see mentioned is the extent to which US corporations are subsidized by virtue of the fact that we have a military bigger than everyone else's combined. You don't hear other countries complain about it either, possibly because we have a military bigger than everyone else's combined.

If anyone is interested, there is a US solar panel maker that advertises on the Tom Hartman show, one of the few Liberal radio talk shows.

I think it's worth a visit to their site just to see the picture of the man and woman at the top. Make up your own caption.

I see that the same picture doesn't appear each time, but every other time. Refresh the page and it should appear.

I'm going to recommend these people to the Marty Chavez campaign.
