Could it Be?

Could it be that the journalists in this town don't care about the shooting of the guy in a dumpster because he allegedly shot a police dog?  Someone commented that I seemed to be the only one that cared about the so called suicide of that thief.  But he was a human being and I am not yet convinced, although I could be, that he deserved to die.  Police say it was a suicide, but no gun powder residue was found on his clothing or gloves.

Much of the stuff I get on facebook these days is about lost dogs being found.  Cute cat videos(I watch them) fill half the servers on the planet.  I even had one friend say they were proud that they only gave money to animal welfare groups rather than other charitable endeavors.  Talk about a loss of priorities!

So, I am hoping that someone in the ranks of our modern day underpaid journalists will take the time to ask to see all evidence and police reports on this case of the wounded K-9 and the subsequent death of his assailant.  Let's get some outside experts to review the material and then give us an independent opinion.  Because I have to say that the APD story and OMI reports haven't convinced me that this whole incident has been truthfully told.

Mr. Baca, I share in your astonishment that the questionable autopsy report has not raised more issue. I do know, however, how little human life means anymore in this astonishing State of New Mexico. We have a real moral crisis acting itself out as we speak. All over NM. There is a cruelty to animals here that will break even some of the toughest hearts. Now even the littlest of children and babies are being subjected to atrocity. I am speechless on that one. I guess my point is that we are in trouble. Maybe Divine Intervention is our greatest Hope.

Jim, you're not convinced because they're lying through their teeth.

Jim,

Wanna do a sit in at the Mayor's office? I'll join you. Bubba, are you in? Anybody else? Let's also protest in front of OMI!

That's the only way to get their attention and let them know that they need to start being honest and telling the truth.

Was an APD officer present at the autopsy? If no GSR was on the guy, what was the distance of the gun that fired the fatal bullet? What does the OMI field investigator's report state? Unfortunately, OMI has been corrupted by APD before this-for the autopsy if UNM engineering student Kerry Lewis ( shot in the forehead on 7/10/09) the OMI autopsy was colored/sabotaged by misleading Ingo from an APD officer present at autopsy so the pathologists did not gather DNA from his fingers even though they were in paper bags, and the APD officers own report documented scratches on the arms of two blood covered guys who ran from murder scene. Also they failed to get Bismarck impression despite one of those guys also having a bitemark. The field investigator never observed Kerry's body, just getting Ingo from APD. My point is that shock
ing as it seems, OMI could be perverted by APD. Sadly, there are no mainstream reporters that will confront APD.

Makes you wonder if OMI's persistence that Mary Han committed suicide is correct, doesn't it?

And who wants to make a bet that there is no lapel video of the SWAT incident? I hope APD proves me wrong and clears this up, but if the past is any indicator of the future there will not be any lapel camera.

Makes one wonder why OMI is persistent period.

An Honest Look at the Side of Police Shootings that You Won’t See on the News

Mr. Torres, a well-respected attorney in Albuquerque, and his wife, Ms. Torres, speak candidly about the loss of their son who was killed by APD, the truth about the impotent old media and solutions to this crisis.

A great education on the truth about what is happening here in Albuquerque.

APD deserved to have a jury trial in the Torres case. Just because their attorney screwed up and didn't request in a timely manner shouldn't mean that the judge disregard the officers Constitutional right to a jury trial. This should be grounds for a new trial. Judge Bacon should have held in contempt the city attorney ,but she should have allowed the jury trial. I have seen this done every other time it has come up in civil and criminal court. But I guess when the defendant in a police officer they don't get the same Bill of Rights as the rest of us.
